An alumnus of OSHM (Oberoi School of Hotel Management), Swarna savoured the
luxury of Krishna Oberoi before moving on to Club Mahindra’s beloved collection of
resorts. Being from an army background, Discipline has always come naturally to
Swarna. Her spirit of sportsmanship is thanks to her silver medal in School National
athletics and her being a basketball player.

Her longest stint was with ITC hotels where she worked for 7 years at The Park
Sheraton Chennai as Asst. Manager, before moving on to run ITC Windsor, and finally
ITC Gardenia as Executive Housekeeper. A keen believer in Six Sigma Practices with
respect to People, Product, Process, Swarma believes in logical, data-driven decision
making driven by tried and tested methods. Swarna created quick-win solutions for
long pending problems like daily hired manpower uniforms, standardisation of
giveaways, and indigenous gifts.

Swarna assisted in the preopening of several hotels including ITC Grand Chola in
Chennai, ITC Grand Bharat in Delhi, Fortune Hotel in Bengaluru and many more.
Nominated for the Housekeeper of the Year award in 2014, Swarna was the only
Housekeeper in the chain nominated for international exposure to open W hotel in Seoul Korea.
